The temple of Apollo in Bassae

The temple of Apollo was built in the 6th century BC. It is in Bassae, not far from Adriatsaina. Perched at 1130 meters in the Arcadienne mountains, in the Peloponnese, .Its main racteristic is that its columns belong to the three orders and it ingenuously mixes innovations with the old architecture, giving it a strange identity, conservative et revolutionary. The interior offers a figure of great quality, associated with a sophisticated architecture.

The temple was destroyed by the Persians in 494 BC
